When I was younger I’d fantasize about living a When I was younger I’d fantasize about living a “spiritual” life. I'd daydream about an idealized monkhood, where my only responsibilities were tending to the garden and meditating in stillness. I plugged away at school and jobs but secretly I was still waiting for the time when I would get the pardon to retreat to the quiet nunnery of my own inner garden. Back then, I thought that choosing a spiritual life meant disconnecting from society— but life had something far different in store for me. For all my desires to walk into the mountains and spend my life meditating in a cave, the most profound spiritual path I’ve ever taken has been starting a business.

I was incredibly reluctant to start a business at first. I remember when the idea came in, I was like “oh, heck no!” I thought business was for Wall Street types who enshrined money as the bottom line. That wasn’t me. I wanted to live a spiritual, nature-based life where I could experience the meaningfulness of existence! Birthing a business seemed like the antithesis of this. What I didn't realize at the time was that business would never take me away from my soulful path, it *was* the spiritual journey I had been seeking.

It took me a while to realize just how spiritual the process of building a business could be. But once I did, I changed from a reluctant business owner into a full-on spiritual entrepreneur. From barely scraping by, to making six-figures and hiring a team of employees. But, most importantly to all, this realization initiated me into the true profundity of this journey.

This year I’m delighted to share with you my new course— Business as a Spiritual Journey, a program made to help all my fellow empaths flourish on the path to entrepreneurship.

In celebration of its opening, the course is on sale until January 25th! Check out more details through the link in my profile.

P.S. This is a very literal picture of me in the midst of my journey. Seven years ago when this photo was taken I had just quit my job and started working for myself full-time. One of the biggest, bravest, hardest things I’ve ever done!!
We are in a hard place in the world. But the answe We are in a hard place in the world. But the answers for how to move forward with healing already exist within us. Finding, and living, these answers is not about pressure, force or expectations— but softening into your own sources of nourishment, the particular genius that is your creative channel, and the offerings you were meant to bring to this world.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If part of your visioning for the new year includes creating the business of your dreams— I would absolutely love to see you in my newly opened program: ✨ Business as a Spiritual Journey.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been in business now for nearly ten years. Over that decade, I've been amazed to find that business, rather than merely supporting my spiritual path, became my spiritual journey— one that taught me so much about myself, my gifts and my soul's mission.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Made specifically for my fellow empaths, highly sensitives and spiritually minded people, this course was designed to help you create a truly soul-led business, one that feeds you and the world, on all levels.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After over six years of working one-on-one with folks doing business consultations, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of heartfelt businesses get off the ground. Everything I’ve learned over my years of building my own business, and helping others to grow theirs, is embedded within this course.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A friend of mine told me recently that she celebra A friend of mine told me recently that she celebrates the new year in three stages. At the solstice, she acknowledges the collective spiritual beginning of the new year. On January 1st, she marks the start of a new cycle of work and finances. And on the first new moon in January she finally drops into her personal new beginning— including setting her intentions and goals for the coming year. I love the concept of such a gradual entrance into the new year. It feels like easing into a body of water, taking your time to acclimate to the waves until you are ready to swim.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After a truly challenging beginning to this new year, many of us are letting go of hard resolutions in favor of softer ways of being with ourselves. If this past year has taught us anything, it is the incredible importance of self-gentleness— and that maybe we don’t need to go as fast or as far as we thought to find life’s meaning.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the whirlwind of current events, and a global pandemic that is beyond our control, it can begin to feel like the very weft of our life is out of our hands. But we always have the ability to decide what our own personal relationship to life will be. You are a co-creator in your destiny. And you have the power to plant seeds for this new year that bear truly nourishing fruit for both your creativity and well-being.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today’s new moon is, by all astrological accounts, an amazingly powerful one. It is a potent moment to set intentions and reground in the knowing that— no matter what is going on in the world around you— you can still take time to bless this beginning.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In my new video, How to Get Crystal Clear Visions, I walk you through four steps to find your north star in 2021. I also offer a stone elixir ritual to help make your intentions that much clearer. (Check out the link in my profile to watch)
A prayer for this day, these weeks, the coming yea A prayer for this day, these weeks, the coming year.

May we remember just how powerful our ability to bless, protect, direct and uplift truly is. Your dreams help to create a more beautiful future for us all.
The Survival Dance: the beauty of one foot in fron The Survival Dance: the beauty of one foot in front of the other

Our ancestors who lived in northern climes spent good portions of the year gathering resources to make sure their winters were marked by coziness and plenty. But no matter how well we plan, though sometimes the potatoes spoil in the root cellar. Grain stores get knocked over or ice locks up the lake. Sometimes, when we go through the winters of our lives, we just have to survive for a time.

Some days all anyone can really manage is one foot in front of the other. In those times the ability to dream big, or think deeply, create or transform can feel very far away. When others are seemingly gliding, and you are just here trying to walk, it can be easy to fall into self criticism. Am I just too heavy to fly?

And the answer is no... it’s just that you are meant to dance right now. If you are in a moment where all you can do is it put one foot in front of another, you are not lost. Nor are you slow, or uninventive, wingless or behind. You are dancing. One foot in front of the other is a creative act of deep fortitude and strength, and it is the building block of every tango, disco and waltz to come. This is the survival dance. And it looks like shuffling over the ground to bed down the grass and make a home. It looks like pacing the floor with a baby in your arms. It looks like crossing the threshold of your house in the a.m to get a few scant moments of sun before heading to work. It’s remembering that it is still a good thing to be alive. And agreeing to move forward. One step at a time.

Your survival, through the winter of it all, is a creation unto itself. It’s the dance that keeps all things together. It is worthy. And it is beautiful.
A while back, I was going through a rough patch an A while back, I was going through a rough patch and was having a hard time feeling my own light. So I sat down for a personal channeling session and was given the most miraculous metaphor...it literally warmed me up from the inside out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Your light,” I heard, “is like your own inner warmth.” It is as natural, easeful and automatic as your body heat. There is nothing you need to do to tend it or ignite it. No matter how cold or numb we become, our light, like our warmth, still touches every corner of our being. No matter how dim we feel, our light still emanates. It is as constant as a star, as comforting as the warmth of a hearth... and as generously tangible as the snowflake that melts in the heat of your palm.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In winter, our body’s innate warmth is that much more evident. In the midst of hardship, we find our light.
